Transitional Program for Autistic Pre-schoolers
自閉症的學齡前兒童過渡計劃

With the current emphasis on “inclusive education”, young pre-school autistic children will need help in adapting to mainstream schools to ensure they are understood and can better cope. We are sponsoring Heep Hong Society, in collaboration with The University of Hong Kong and participating mainstream schools, to conduct a two year on-site pilot programme to devise a modality to enable these autistic pre-schoolers to integrate well into mainstream education system. This will hopefully make their early school lives more enjoyable and meaningful as they are accepted by their peers as equal.
在 “融合教育”的推行下,為了讓自閉症的學齡前兒童能夠得到額外的支援來適應主流學校的學習和環境,本會贊助了協康會進行為期兩年的實場試點計劃,與香港大學和參與的主流學校合作,使這些自閉症的學齡前兒童能夠有效地融入主流的教育制度。希望藉此讓他們被同輩平等對待,令他們的早期學校生活變得更愉快和有意義。
