Shaanxi Secondary School Teachers’ Cultural and Educational Tour to Hong Kong

With increased performance from students, we felt that teacher training would provide the next level in rural education. We found that some of the teachers had never even travelled to Xian, let alone the large urban centres. As a result, we decided to bring all 60 teachers to HKG and give them exposure to a secondary school, St. Stephen’s College; a university, The Chinese University. They also visited our Legislative Council and some of our Museums. Each teacher wrote a detailed report on their experience.

本會資助除改善農村學校設施與學生學習環境外，還同時提供師資培訓計劃，以提高教學質素。當地教師長期生活工作於農村，少有外遊，甚至未曾到過大城巿西安之行。故此，本會決定提供該中學全校老師60人來香港遊學，訪問香港中小學、聖士提反書院、香港大學、中文大學等，並參觀立法會、法院、歷史博物館、海洋公園；以增其見聞，充實其學識。同時，各位老師亦寫下在港七天之見聞，以作交流，以表謝意。
